I'm 28, live in Monroe GA. (just outside Athens) married with an 11 month old daughter. I am a telephone man. I've been racing since 93. First in a 13 second '74 Charger and then I bought the 66 Coronet I race now. I have been racing and cruising it ever since. Best ever is 11.02 at 123mph at 3670lb with old motor(10 to 1 and .557 lift cam) New combo is .030 over 440 13 to 1, comp solid cam, and now weighs 3500lbs with a 4.56 Dana and 9 inch 4800 stall converter.

I have a friend that wants to race with Texas Outsiders…His name is Bob Jensen he is a Vietnam Vet. My brother and myself help him to restore his 1973 Corvette. We did it at no charge. It was our way to say thanks for the Americans that gave so much for our freedom. Bob’s job in the Army was a door gunner for the helicopter group called the Sharkies. The sharkies job was to give cover fire for the ground forces as they advanced, and to protect the medivac groups as they pulled out the wounded. Bob was shot down 5 time with the last time he was wounded by a 51 cal. anti aircraft round in the back. When the Sharkies when in to airvac him out they came under fire and Bob had to shoot his way out as they pulled him up threw the canopy. He was also hit by an AK47 round. Needless to say he has a Purple Heart Alan Turnbaugh
