I'm a retired telecomunication engineer, part time NHRA (SFI Tech Offical) and a part time racer since 2004 with a 71' Challenger that's running 12.50's on a weak motor. Its been 25 years since I have been behind the wheel or hanging over the fender of my own race car. For years checking cars for SFI spec./rules had to be a way of life until this year, now I feel I've come full circle. I have had some pretty good drag race cars over the years before hanging it up because of family, work and moving from Pennsylvania to Colorado. Most of the early cars have been Mopars (Dodge Stockers/Super Stockers)and a few others of the 60's vinage. With the understanding of my wife Karen, I'm able to compete with some great people. The folks I've met and friends made at the "T&T days" and weekend events at the drag races are second to none. I would like to thank Mark for being invited to join the "Texas Outsiders". May an event happen in Denver this coming year (fingers crossed). |

I have built a couple of show cars and two race cars for my boss, a 1966 Impala and 1964 T-Bolt. Through my boss I started going to NMCS/NSCA races and met the Texas Outsiders. I figured it would be more fun to race with Nostalgia racers than pulling my hair out every week at the local track. I built the Tempest in house (my house) cage, frame, floors, body work, paint, etc in about a year and a half. 2003 is my first year racing the Tempset and I have been lucky enough to win the PRO race at Maple Grove and be invited to join the Texas Outsiders. WIth the help of my understanding wife Andrea and 9 year old son Evan, I am able to compete with some of the best people I have ever met. The people we meet and firends we make at these weekend NSS races are second to none. (well everybody's second to Jeff Puckett sometimes) Texas Outsiders Rule! |

I first met the bunch from Texas Thunder in 2001 at the Columbus World Finals.......damn that chili rocked! I joined the Texas Outsiders in 2003. Without friends and family there would be no drag racing and I thank them all from the bottom of my heart. My goal for 2004 is to make the Beat the Heat race in Texas for some Texas style WHOOP ASS racing! Email: seran3dr@aol.com Phone: 856-881-6769 |
